Recently, China Railway Electrification Bureau Group Co., Ltd. has partnered with Porient for the electrification renovation project of the Jitong Railway. Desktop video conference system, including a 15-party video conference server MCU and 10 desktop video conference terminals, has been deployed in the project department, workshops, and work areas, enabling convenient daily meetings, task instruction communication, and work deployment between various project departments, workshops, and work areas.

Before deploying, the Jitong Project Department of China Railway had not established a video conference system connecting the group headquarters to the project department, workshops, and work areas. Coupled with the fact that the various sub-departments are located far apart, personnel across project sub-departments and workshop teams generally communicate via telephone. This makes it difficult to convey and implement important matters in a timely manner, and it is even more challenging to conduct face-to-face communication and meetings during the pandemic, which is extremely inconvenient.

The deployment has facilitated fast and convenient desktop video meetings among various project departments. This allows project departments to convene meetings at any time, significantly enhancing collaboration efficiency. Furthermore, it has enabled rapid, intuitive, and convenient audio and video communication between workshops and work areas, making the transmission of instructions and communication and collaboration more efficient and faster, thereby significantly saving time costs
