Recently, Petro Tarim Oilfield Company has implemented the Porient LDAP Phone Book system and nearly 300 intelligent IP communication terminals. This move has enabled remote automatic updates of the directory for all IP terminals across the company, significantly enhancing operation and maintenance efficiency. Additionally, the launch of smarter IP terminals has greatly improved communication efficiency between departments.

Tarim Oilfield completed the IP line transformation several years ago. The IP terminals deployed in the initial phase of the project have been in use for many years, and the original manufacturer has discontinued production of IP terminals. Therefore, there is an urgent need to update and replace the IP terminals. Many IP terminals across the company had not previously implemented remote issuance and updating of contact lists. After changes in the organizational structure, updating contact lists became extremely cumbersome. This project also requires the terminal contact list to be updated in real-time according to the organizational structure of the portal website.

After conducting research, Tarim Oilfield ultimately decided to implement  LDAP system and IP communication terminals. In this project, Porient intelligent IP terminal products can display tens of thousands of business cards organized by directory structure, making it very convenient to find people. Porient LDAP directory system also perfectly meets the requirement of real-time updating of terminal directories based on the portal's organizational structure.
